Introducing… Akron Programming Languages Meetup
Our friend G in Akron has started a programming languages meetup. More details:
Calling all programmers!
Programming languages don’t get enough <3.
In this group attendees can expect to join a forum where any and all features of a language are open for discussion, with the end goal of improving the groups knowledge as a whole.
At last count, there are hundreds of programming languages on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_progra…
This group aims to cover most of them (eventually), thereby providing a way for sharing knowledge of their existence.
Some languages need legacy hardware. All attempts will be made to provide resources to attendees to witness these languages on any legacy hardware they might require.
We meet alternate Thursday’s of the month at SYN/HAK: The Akron Hackerspace (21 W North Street, Akron, Ohio 44302) http://www.synhak.org at 6pm beginning June 20, 2013. The meetups will be 1-2 hours, depending on how much time attendees have.
